Windows is stealing my touches
These are Windows gestures, not the Deck, so they have to be switched off once on this laptop. All three live in Settings › Bluetooth & devices › Touch.
Three- and four-finger touch gestures off. A cupped hand otherwise opens Task View and spreads the windows out.
Two finger press and hold gesture off. This is the one that fires during a two-finger match.
Additional touch settings › Enable press and hold to perform a right-click equivalent off. On older builds: Control Panel › Pen and Touch › Touch tab › Press and hold › Settings › uncheck it.
Then tap Full screen, so there is no browser or taskbar left at the edges.

Testing without a touch table
Hold Ctrl (or Alt) and press on a card: a fake cupped hand of 5 contacts peeks it.
Shift + click a card to pin a fake finger there, then click a second card to claim the pair.
On Windows, turn off Settings › Bluetooth & devices › Touch › "Three- and four-finger touch gestures", or Windows may grab the cupped hand.
